Lurking in the grass this week, was a praying mantis. We were so overjoyed to find this odd insect! Everyone quietly crowded around to observe him. Can you list three facts you have learned about our visitor?

Collaboration
We are learning to problem solve and brainstorm ideas through collaboration. We practiced being a good listener and respecting our friend’s thoughts.
Flashlight Friday
Flashlight Friday’s! One key to get kids reading is to make it fun! Before lunch on Friday, we go to the library where the librarian, Mrs. Zamora, reads us a story. Afterwards, we can check out our favorite chapter books! After lunch, Mrs. Franz turns off the lights, closes the binds, and we find a cozy spot to read with our flashlights! Super fun!!!
What book did you choose to read by flashlight?
Kickball Fundraiser
Last Friday, the fifth and sixth graders had a kickball fundraiser for 6th grade camp! Oh boy, was it ever fun! (…not to mention, HOT!) Good job, fifth and sixth students and teachers!
