Kinder Readers

Once a week our classroom Kinder Readers read to our Kindergarten Buddies. We all look forward to this visit and take it very seriously. First, we go to the school library and spend time choosing the right book for our Kinder Buddy, then we wait until after lunch and visit them with a new book! Our buddies sit and listen quietly as the book is read to them. They love hearing the stories and we love reading to them! Thank you, Kinders!

Love,

The Kinder Readers!

Have you ever read to a younger brother or sister at home? What is their favorite book and why?

Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day! In our classroom this is a time to celebrate friendship and show kindness to others! We created our giant Valentine envelopes, delivered  our Valentines cards and watched the movie, James and the Giant Peach.

How do you celebrate Valentine’s Day at home?

Peach Upside-Down Cake

In honor of finishing the book, James and the Giant Peach, Mrs. Winters taught us how to make peach upside-down cake! We made it from scratch and boy, did it taste good! Thank you, Mrs. Winters!

What is your favorite baked good?

James and the Giant Peach

We love reading in our classroom. It is a cozy time to sit and to allow our imaginations take us on a new journey! James and the Giant Peach was one of our favorite book reads.

What is your favorite genre to read? Would you rather read from a book or on a device such as a Kindle?

Art Show

Thank you Ms. Pedersen for a wonderful Art Show! We were inspired this year by the book, The Dot, celebrating creativity, courage and collaboration!

In your opinion, what makes a great painting? Explain.
